Radio Interview

Mark Twain once said, “There are only two types of speakers in the world. 1. The nervous and 2. Liars.”  Although I knew that one of the most common fears among us all is public speaking, also known as glossophobia, that did little to quell my nerves as I sat in the U2 Have Hope radio studio back in late November recording an interview as Executive Director of Urban Bible Outreach.  I was almost breathless with nerves, but I was incredibly humbled and excited about the opportunity to get the word out about our mission and the need in our cities on a great show.  Carrie Cooper, a sweet gal with an amazing testimony and host of “U2 Have Hope” on 91.3FM, interviewed me for about 20 minutes and then did an incredible job editing before it aired in Dallas and various cities across the U.S. on December 28th.  For those who missed it on that day, please feel free to listen to it here on our website:

For those who might hear the message in archives, please pray that God’s mighty power to change lives, restore relationships, and grant a peace that passes all of our understanding (Philippians 4:7) will reach them and they will come to know God in a personal way.  Pray that God draws hearts to our mission here in Dallas, and in other cities that Urban Bible Outreach might be developed.

Thanks to you all for your support and encouragement as I worked to conquer my glossophobia!
